Mercyhurst is a four-year, Catholic, liberal arts university, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1926. It was granted university status in 2012. More than 50 undergraduate majors, with 67 concentrations as well as unique adult programs and eight graduate degrees are available at the university. It offers 24 varsity level sports. Mercyhurst’s main 75-acre campus is set in Erie, Pennsylvania. the state’s only port city; the campus is approximately 100 miles from Cleveland, OH and Buffalo, NY and 130 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
